Since its founding in 1911, St. James Hospital and Health Centers has offered compassionate and award-winning care that makes a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

As a center for the training of physicians and others, St. James provides those in need the highest level of care.  Our Heart and Vascular Institute, ranked in the Solucient Top 100 two years in a row, offers patients comprehensive cardiovascular services including prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.  And, the Patricia A. Joyce Comprehensive Cancer Institute provides a multi-disciplinary team of specialists for the continuum of patient care, from pre-treatment evaluation to post-treatment follow-up.   In keeping with our mission, St. James provides millions of dollars in free heath care annually for the indigent.

St. James has also been named one of the nation’s Top Ten by the Center for Innovation in Healthcare Facilities in recognition of the integration and connectivity of its three new facilities to the main hospital building on the Olympia Fields campus.
